How To Turn Samsung Galaxy S3 Into Success
We all held our breath, anticipating the revolution. This cannot be a radical phone - its ugly. While remarks on aesthetics will vary, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is simply not a photogenic telephone to me. Regardless of the number of official images I looked through, it looked somewhat shiny, a little uninspired. A smudge magnet with a weird speaker and camera setup which mars its back. Fortunately, looks can be deceiving. Whilst the phone definitely picks up more smudges compared to wed prefer, the blind blue color is remarkably striking. After we'd grown accustomed to the contour, we not just loved how it looked, but how it felt.
The pebble contour helps disperse the telephones weight, and in 133g, the phone felt as light or quicker phone of HTC One X and loads quicker than the compact iPhone 4S. If we'd to describe this phone in one word sleek. The feel, the color, even the bizarre waterfall overlay and gushy sound effects all shout of its sleekness. But after growing used to it, the Samsung S3 is just not the funniest mobile in the marketplace.
Can Samsung seize the throne through sheer power? Whilst the United Kingdom obtained a 1.4GHz quad-core chip with 1GB of Memory, the US variant acquired a 1.5GHz dual-core chip with an extra gig of RAM. While it's a bit of a bummer to lose the quad-core, the telephone pretty much outperformed any telephones we've tested lately and felt unsurprisingly snappy. The telephone could boot applications as fast as any other phone we have tested, multitask with the best of them, and Samsungs TouchWiz overlay rarely feels bloated or over encumbers Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This is an incredibly strong phone.
But it's not all great, slender elegance and our first major complaint is the telephones humdrum camera. The lens still seems mediocre, and the telephone still struggles with low light. Even the iPhone 4s camera mops the floor using this phones, and that's a problem. The camera software is a good deal better compared to it's been in the past, delightfully stripped of ridiculous or redundant options and, obviously, using the greatest power of the telephone, images can be snapped, saved, and snapped again in fractions of the time it used to take meaning you will get better pictures in the long term.
There's no dedicated camera button. Samsung has foregone all hardware buttons except for a volume rocker, lock button, and home button in favour of a smooth chassis. The two buttons on each side of the home button are touch capacitive and disappear in the body when not in use, lighting up just when activated. Interestingly, the S3 has opted for an own back button and a menu button, as opposed to Ice Cream Sandwichs preferred to own back and latest application buttons, however, this works in the phone's favour. Without the hardware buttons, all the focus is on the S3s 4.8 inches Super AMOLED Hi-def at a 1280 x 720 resolution.
